Students in the History and Social Studies Education Department conduct research and serve internships at regional, national, and international museums, including the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society, Buffalo Museum of Science, Burchfield-Penney Art Center, Old Fort Niagara, the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site, and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Buffalo’s Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum has donated second-floor gallery space where museum studies students design and arrange displays.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in campus organizations to enhance their leadership skills.
